I paid $7000 for the same bike about 10 years ago. It had a freshly rebuilt motor with new cam and stroked S&S crank. I had to put about $1000 more into it for starter, clutch and charging system upgrades. Kick starting a large, high compression engine is not easy.
As to value, condition is everything on a bike that old. If you like wrenching you will love that bike.

As said before - where is the link. I've never seen a WideGlide that looked like a Softail. Not sure what that means.

As for the softail look.... with a 21" front wheel,5 gallon tank, fat bob rear fender, same handle bars.... if you don't notice the rear shocks right away, they are similar, within the same year anyway...

Still not sure what is meant by looks like a Softail. The shocks on a Dyna are pretty obvious. Yes they had one the same color, flip fender, etc.
Yes it looks a little crusty, check for pitting on the chrome. Those little thing add up quick.
As far as a value, it's what it is worth to you, could be a nice bike to ride and enjoy, not really a collector item.
Check it out in person and bid accordingly. Wish you the best.
