That belt is a tough son of a biiiiatch, don't do throttle whacks but it sees a lot of throttle roll ons.
Thanks that gives me a chance than..... How many tooth belt? Do u run in 6 th gear much under 60 mph? OD6 is how much overdriven ?
Thanks

Drive pulley's are currently stock teeth, put a chrome moly 32 drive pulley on the trans because it weighed pounds lighter than the stock pulley. Changed the primary gearing on both pulleys to lower the gearing along with a 30 trans pulley with the 89", just put a 32 back on with the bigger engine and kept the lower primary gearing.

OD6 is a .86 overdrive with 5th 1-1, If i remember right the 3.36 only changed the rpm's 300 at 55 mph over the stock 3.15. I do shift into 6th at 55-60 because the big engine won't labor but 5th gear can easily cruise at 60-65 mph because it is right at or under 3000 rpm.

John Sachs put me on to the 3.36 with the 127" most certain if you go any lower with that much power will be bouncing the rev limiter before you grab another gear. Those big engines are not lazy with rpm's like large cubes are stereotyped, it will hit a 6000 rev limiter quickly in 3rd gear if your not on your game. Actually you could load that engine with a 3.15 and use it's torque for giddy up but the 3.36 is the catazz when a 45 mph call me daddy throttle roll on comes to play and the 6th gear tames the beast when it is time to be nice.

One more thing is you can run a 30 tooth pulley on that trans with a new belt and have enough adjustment, just didn't read about it either.

Found a Rivera lower geared clutch basket, crank pulley and chain kit that gained the 3.36. The 99-01 EFI Twinkee touring uses this primary pulley ratio for a slight giddy up, have heard a Evo police bike runs the lowered primary but not in stone. Only down fall is this primary ratio loads the starter slightly more.

I was worried about screwing with primary gearing for the first go round. I built a starter ( cummins starter parts. Lol)but my corrected comp is around 10.6 to 1 .Asking about teeth in belt as its getting a 08 swing arm and I can mill the slots longer now so if I need too.
Chrome Molly pulley that much lighter? Baker? Or. Might go with the 32t till I can fund a 6 or 7 with OD. Thanks for the help. Nobody around me wants to even know about EVO stuff or even has experience with them that I trust.

That stock trans drive pulley weighs in at 6 lb, I think the chrome moly pulley was 2 lb, lighter rotating mass is always a plus and my stock pulley was pretty much worn out and didn't want to put it back on.
Found a Baker gear set for $600, it was a no brainer, a stock trans isn't even close to the same league as the Baker with shift quality and going in and out of gear.

B series Cummins starter?

U know the starter has been on my shelf. I will look at part #. It was a back motor on a vac all truck....just don't remember which one.
