Hello Im new here and I just bought this barn find its a 1986 Liberty Edition Electria Glide. I have a few questions on trouble shooting and common problems with them. My other question is I am thinking about doing a conversion to a tank mounted speedo or a upgraded tank and newer style batwing faring. As well as updating gauges and such would like to upgrade the rear trunk to a newer style as well.

There are a few issues with the bike the radio factory has a short in it and works off and on. Passing lamps when you turn the handle bars to the left the lights dim/ go off totally and come back on when you straighten out the handle bars. and the speedo needle bounces and is hard to get a correct reading. Any help for tips tricks or advice on up grades would be great.
and any place I can source parts for as well.
