Default Make over 1985

I bought my 1985 fxwg from my late father 11 years ago....it was cool. The more I got to know the bike more I saw how bad he has hacked it up...Being a perfectionist to a small degree I had to make the bike my own..My two best bros in the world offered to my dream come true...as long as I didn't go with the color black again. They told me this is once in a life time gift..."so lets make it yours" I have always wanted a different look sooo this is what I wanted...I chose the main color green...all the rest was a surprise by my bros. Its not quite finished...it will be ride able in a week or so..I have a few more changes to make as soon as the $$$$ allow...like a front wheel and tire lower fork covers..

Just don't use that as your get-away vehicle if you rob any banks, and you'll be good.

I can't believe that's a wide glide, softail oil tank, battery moved, both fenders gone, front end, a lot has been done for sure.

All I really changed was the fenders..my dad pieced it back together after he got hit sitting at an intersection. .but lots was cobbled. .so I made it my own and fixed all the cobbled up.crap.

You look close you will see it was never a softtail, that year & model still had the old shovel frame and drivetrain including a 4 speed in it. Somebody did add all the tins to make the front end look like a FL .

The old wrap around oil bag was pretty common swap out on the old bikes , christ knows I ran a few of them.
