Jet size suggestions ..1993 Electra Glide
Hi guys I have a 1993 Electra Glide classic, and have have done the following
S&S stealth air filter
185 jet
Screaming Eagle slip ons
Bike is still experiencing some surging (like its running oit of fuel) under wide open throttle at about the 85mph mark. Do I need to step up to larger jet?
Appreciate your thoughts.

Do you know what size jets you have in there? Read the nightrider page there's good info on there.
To test the main jetting, you must be in fourth or fifth gear and running fairly high RPM (4000+) then open the throttle all the way to the throttle stop, noting the feel of the bike. Immediately let off the throttle about 1/8 turn and note the feel of the bike. If it seems to accelerate some when you let off the 1/8, your main jet is too lean. If it hesitates or the top speed is poor (i.e. less than 80 MPH) you are too rich. Adjust your main jetting accordingly by increasing or decreasing the jet size by 5. Use your common sense and seat of the pants feel and you will get close enough to do plug reads.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the advice. We did pull the bowl and checked for debris, it was perfectly clean. Also pulled the fuel line and poured into a empty water bottle and flow seemed good.
It is exactly as described above, it full throttle in top gear, as it hits around 4,000rpm it splitters and dies, like it's run out of fuel. If I throttle back it'll pick back up again

So swap a smaller main in there and give it a try at least you'll know right away if it's improved. Is your air filter clean? I just put a 185 in mine it was a 180 before and too lean for the open filter but fine with the stock air box. 185 shouldn't be bogging it down unless your filter is plugged up

It (no jinxing) appears to have been cured, although I can't say for sure what cured it. I replaced the petcock and the fuel line, and completely rebuilt the carb. My hunch is that it was a meticulous setting of the float level that ultimately solved the problem. All I know is that I had no trouble at all on the Texas run, which included extended periods of time at 80+.
