There is more taper on the end of that than there is on the OEM unit. Should help you get it started straight. Go easy and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Yes, that one will work fine. Use a little blue Loctite on it to help it press in easier and seal. Remember to put the barb (part the hose connects to) end of it at the correct angle. Just duplicate the angle of the old one. YD

Loctite blue? I was thinking some green since its sleeve retainer but I never checked to see if either were gas resistant.

Put it in the freezer for a few hours too. Goes in easier. I didn't use any loctite, and it's fine.

Green, blue, red, don't matter. Really not needed, but as mentioned, helps it press in a little easier and ads a little extra sealant. YD

Got it installed last night. It didn't want to go straight at all. I ended up holding it and tapping it in. I tried c-clamp and vise. The inlet is not square on the end and it would twist under even the lightest pressure.

Thanks for the help guys. Wonder what will break next

Well.... Since you're asking to receive The MoCo curse: An obscure, small, and inexpensive part will break. The repair will require you to first remove a number of perfectly good expensive parts, necessitating purchase of a number of expensive gaskets/seals to re-install. In the process of doing that, you will damage one of the expensive parts, necessitating another trip to the stealer or indy, which probably won't have it. And when attempting to search for said part the internet will go down until Monday, but since Monday is a Holiday, none of the vendors will be able to ship the needed part until Wednesday or Thursday. Shipping cost will be almost as much as the needed part, and there is no telling when it will get there. Then UPS looses/damages the part in transit.

Just trying to help....

That's exactly what just happened when the inlet cracked. Actually it's not back together yet either. One o-ring for the backing plate fell and after 30 minutes of searching the engine and garage floor I quit and will just get a new one at the hardware store later today.
