Default need new regulator

I need to install a new voltage regulator on my 1986 flhtc. I was just curious in whom you guys would recommend for the part brand name wise. I was looking online there are a bunch of choices and the price range is very wide. I don't want to overspend on the part or get a crappie one either. Let me know which one you recommend. Thanks

As I mention in the sticky, I prefer Genuine H.D. parts. I had some bad experiences with aftermarket electrical parts a few decades ago and haven't touched them since. I have heard good things about the Cycle Electric stuff.

I recommend that you get a regulator that matches your stator and rotor.
IE if you have Harley stator then get a Harley regulator or if you have cycle electric stator then get a cycle electric regulator ditto compufire etc....
