Thanks guys, I liked this green when I saw it, a little different from the rest. I know I need to find/ get a big sucker type of breather for it. The pipes have already met a larger drill bit after I got them, not straight through but with more flow than stock.

Great looking bike. I have the EV13 with a few extras in my Heritage.

What year is your bike? I have the part number of a good free flowing screaming eagle air cleaner that works great on carbureted bikes. Just got to dig up my build sheet.

If you get a chance, post up results of a compression test with your new setup.

This is the 1996 FLHRI. This is the first year EFI with the non programmable ECM. I am running an add on VFI tuner that seems to work, I do need to tweak the inputs and get it zeroed back in. It is idling kind of high when it is warmed up, I need to turn it off and set the idle on the intake then dial it in. This is one reason I did not go with a EV27, I wasn't sure how this system would adjust out. Changing cams and all has been sort of an experiment.
I haven't run compression numbers on it yet, I didn't think about doing a before test so an after test will have nothing to compare to. It just goes and that is fine with me. It would run 85- 90 stock so it should eat that up with this set up. I haven't had it above 65-70 on these back roads and it was smooth pulling up to there. Hell I don't need to be running triple digits easy, my license and insurance finally settled down a few years ago.

Man this thing is a lot more comfortable with these 14" bars. I finally got a chance to adjust the bars and get it warmed up so I could adjust the idle tonight. I got it simmered downed but now I find my front rocker box is leaking air WTF, I'll call the shop that did the work tomorrow and see what they have to allow. Damnit I was looking forward to riding in to work in the morning.

Ehh ***** em. I fixed it myself no reason not to. The rocker was just a misaligned gasket as I suspected. All good time to ride.

I've put close to 150 miles on this so far and it is running pretty nice. I still need to tweak the TFI just a little more as it has a slight hiccup in it like it needs a little more fuel. I was able to kick it along the highway at 75- 80+ for my commute in and it pulled fine. I have a higher flow air filter coming in this week so that should help it breath better, might be the cause of the hiccup. I'll find out soon.

Good to keep the older bikes running, I plan on keeping my 07 for a long long time....best option on it is the lack of payments...Eastern NC gas been a bit warm last week or so but today seems like it will be a nice day for a ride....Enjoy.

I installed the new air filter and opened some holes that were drilled in the back plate a little bigger for more air flow. I ended up having to tweak the main idle screws alittle and then the TFI to get it to settle down right. I think this cam set up will be just fine.
I installed some Drag Specialty rear shocks made by progressive to replace the 440 progressives that were bottoming out, the ride is a lot better now. I'd like to get a set of RaceTechs for it but these will work until then.

I've run a few more tanks of gas through it and I messed around with the TFI box some more and think I got rid of the hiccup. With this EV13 the motor is a lot smoother running 75-80. I have bumped her up to the 90's a few times and she seems to just go. The bike seems to handle the stop and go commute traffic better as well. All around good.
With the new bars, EV13 cam and the new shocks this bike feels better than it has since I got it almost 3 years ago, feels lighter and more responsive.
Makes me wonder what the EV23 would be like.(uhoh)
