I never think about this much, pull the enricher out, pump it 3 times - hit the starter button and get ready to go. By the time the I get to the road the e-richer gets pushed in and it never hesitates. I did install a carb kit several years ago, original jet still in the carb - runs like a champ !

Just saw this thread as I have to keep the Mikuni enrichener on awhile before it's able to idle. Will probably purchase one of the throttle mates which I never heard of before. Thanks for the info. Love this site.

My routine for the '95 is 2 pulls on the throttle, enrichener all the way out, start it up and let it run 30 seconds. After about 30 seconds I push the enrichener in about half way or until she idles at 1000 RPMs.
I put on my gear and roll out, taking it easy for the first mile or two then push the enrichener all the way in.
If its cold out she spits and sneezes a little until the motor warms up. It's definitely a cold blooded machine.

I just hit the start button and she's running hot or cold. No goosing, no throttle locks, no fuss. Just good old EVO FI for the win. By a show of hands, how many of you regret converting back to a carb?

Don't regret having a carb one bit, my bike is idling one its own in literally two min, a well tuned carb helps, pulse if I want to change my pipes, cam, or modify something in the engine I can rejet a carb

i love having a carb...

only bikes i ever owned where carbed since i was little
and there's no better sound for a harley then carbed, cammed one
least for me .. i love some of the newer bikes but i don't think ill ever get rid of my evo
cause its just a pure sounding bike

Exactly. There's not really a difference in sound between a carbed, cammed evo with drag pipes and a shovelhead. Best sounding Harleys out there.
