Default EVO Resurrection - Rotor / Ignition Question...

I finally found a used engine to put into my bike.

I have a question about the rotor and ignition. See pictures.

The PO robbed the rotor off the used motor I bought. He got it from a friend and it has sat on the shelf for a year and I don't think he even knew it was missing. I'm working on a new wiring harness for the 8-1100 which came with the engine (hence my discovery of the missing rotor).

The other ignition is the 8-2100 that was on my original engine, now exploded. The rotor P/N 32402-83, is the rotor from my exploded engine and checking the HD parts manual, it is stock for my '95 FXDWG.

I noticed that 8-1100 unit has one pickup on the back while the other has two.

My question is if the rotor (from my old engine) will work with the 8-1100?

I think it should work. You could always call S&S and ask. Their tech support is always great.

They are just so last century - like chains! We're into belts and electronic stuff now!

OMG...Fred Flintstone wants his ignition back!

So one module is for a single fire setup... do you have single fire or duel fire coils?

Okay, So if you have a single fire coil (which that coil definitely is) then you should match it up with the single fire module, which is the 8-2100.

Crane HI-4 Dual Fire Ignition # 8-1100
Crane HI-4 Single-Fire Ignition System # 8-2100
Here are the instructions for the 8-2100 https://www.denniskirk.com/dk/pdf/in...2/dkh20024.pdf

This link has information on the rotor that can be used with the #8-2100 module http://www.retrocycle.com/CustomChro...n_Systems.html

So in theory the rotor you have there should be good to go!
