the stock foot boards that came on my 99 fatboy went right up against the patriot defender exhaust I put on. I had to put a skinny bolt in place of the stock rear one an my heal was always getting on the heat shield. I ordered the skinnier ones I think they came on 05/06 deluxe's an I like the look an feel an I get the extra clearance I wanted.

Nice Job... I spaced mine out as well 1" and believe it or not it's a lot more comfortable position..

One inch does make a difference.... LOL.......

 

How's the vibs in the new boards?

I keep thinking about the OEM boards that were on my 97 EG smooth.

Went to some slipstreams and picked up some vibs, not terrible but very noticeable.

I just rode about 30 minutes tonight an they felt the same or maybe a little better than the ones I took off. I was looking at the now ones that "float" but those didn't move the heal location. the padding is thicker than the stock ones so they could be better..
