Default Should I Bother With This New Engine Mount?

J&P is apparently having trouble, so much so that they sent me a coupon for $30. Didn't really need anything, but wanted to see how they are doing, so I decided to place an order.

For no good reason, I got a front engine mount. Arrived just fine.

Do i bother putting it on?

1990 FLH. 21k.

Nothing wrong with the stocker.

Honestly, curiosity is the only reason I'm even thinking about it.

I probably would just because and it either will be an improvement or an hour of experience. Win win...

Thumbs up

I'd also replace the rear rubber mounts. Doesn't seem wise to do one and not the others.

$30 is a good sized coupon, is it a code or a special offer? They never send me anything. Also, take your old mount off, replace it and sell the old one on eBay. People always buy used parts, you'd be surprised what random things sell for decent money.

Omaha I replaced the stock one that came on my Road King just because it was 18 years old at the time. It'll make a difference, and you can mark that off your long range to do list.

Last year when I bought my mufflers from them, it actually saved me money to sign up for their Gold Club. I'm guessing that was what the coupon was for.

Over in the General forum, there is a lot of ranting and raving about how their service has gone downhill since they relocated their warehouse and they are slow to deliver stuff, etc. Personally, I haven't seen that, but since I don't buy a lot from them anyway, thought I'd do a test order.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I think I'll go ahead and drop it in and see what happens. I guess the worst thing that could happen is that it gets worse and I put the old one back!?!? Or else I end up in an endless quest for the "perfect" mount and end up doing this over and over!!!
