Default Rebuild fresh off the dyno

Picked up my bike from the dyno shop this AM. A couple years ago it developed a shudder that had me concerned so I decided for a complete rebuild rather than wait for something to happen and grenade the engine. They split the cases, re-balanced the flywheel, new ,010 over pistons, rebuilt the heads, roller rockers, etc. It was an apples for apples rebuild but the carb was an little gummed up over the winter while it sat idle. Put around 400 miles on it before taking it into the shop the last dyno run sheet I had was 87/87 today it 85 hp 87 Tq. Getting the carb and timing dialed it made a huge difference. I've got the Supertrapp tunable disc exhaust and I like the performance without all the sound. He thought we could get the numbers over 90 if I went to a more free flowing exhaust. Happy to have it back on the road again and Sturgis bound in a few weeks.

It's really amazing what a difference the dyno tune makes.

sounds like a nice build....I'm fighting temptation to do that to my bike...I have just over 18K on it an once it needs a few things like gaskets an stuff I'll do some 9.5 to 10.0 compression pistons an have a the heads cleaned up. I'd be happy with something close to what you go 80's/80's.

I bet you enjoy surprising a twinkie here an there with it.

S&S cam .585. S&S pistons, KJC heads and ignition, roller rockers, Wood Performance CV carb, reworked crank, Rivera Primo clutch. I've had the front wheel up in 1st and 2nd with the previous build before it was detuned.

That's a great cam, came stock in my S&S 107". Wonderful wide flat torque curve.
