I thought most of Harley parts were made in China assembled over here. If so how is this real Harley parts and not Chinese junk?
Harley's telescopic forks are made in Japan by Showa, and have been since 1977 or '78. The Springer front end, however, was made entirely in the US at the York, PA factory. At least this was so during the Evo era.
I had the pleasure of visiting the York plant several times back in the '90's and got to watch the process with my own eyes. It was pretty fascinating, watching them take red-hot tubes out of a furnace and pressing them in dies to taper and shape the springer parts.
