It must have been the rage back then because my 93 FLSTC was loaded with that crap. My local indy shop had the derby cover and a few other things and I had the gas caps. The timing cover I had made.

If it were me I'd also consider changing out those rusty bolts and screws. Just sayin'.

Yep. I bought my 93 new, and over the next couple of years added them. Couldn't go 'all in' and do everything, but I've got the gas cap lid, both primaries, air cleaner cover, and cam cone cover.

Now it's time to take them all off and go back to stock...

at least it has some miles on it...if everything read "live to ride" an it had 4,000 miles on it I'd say he's lyin.......

check the local craigslist...there's 2 places near me that advertise on there that part out old bikes or sell stock take offs or find someone that has the plain stock stuff layin around an want to fund a new upgrade or mod.

Check that gas cap for a set screw on the side. May just be a slip over cover.
Ace hardware has a really decent assortment of nuts and bolts.

Yes, he logged some miles. He had two bikes for a while. The other was a touring frame. Not sure which model. But I think that is the one he put a lot of miles on.

When I bought my 90 FLHTC last year, it had 10k miles and lots of LTRRTL stuff. I've replaced all of it but the derby cover. Working a project where I'm am casting a new one, but that is taking some doing.

Default 1998 Road King EFI

I removed the apes, white wall tires, many chrome aftermarket poser parts and black powder coated the nacelle, tach mount, strut covers, air cleaner cover, lower legs, jiffy stand, handlebars etc. just to tone it down a bit.

Just my preference.

YMMV

I am also considering removing the highway bars.

Any opinions on that?

I wouldn't be without them on long trips.
