"Lots of stabilizer" meant 1 oz in 2 g of gas. Tore down that Super E, found no clogged jets. Can I blast the carb body with filtered (clean) air? I'm clueless here. I do not know the internals of a Super E, so am reluctant to just blast every passage.

I blast them with carb cleaner.

Everything says "don't do it", but I find that a very thin piece of wire, like one strand of a multi-strand wire, through the jets helps a lot when they are gunked up. You might start with compressed air through the jets. That's usually where your problem is. On mine anyway.

Default Voes

Carb is fine. I'll check the VOES, but I can't find the SOB.

Follow the rubber vacuum hose from the back of the carb. May be mounted to or near the top engine mount

Default VOES 4" away from carb

It was faster to find the VOES than to type my previous post. Thanks, flhchaz.

The V.O.E.S. checked out okay, closed at 4" vacuum. Changed plug wires, found a ton of corrosion in one of the coil sockets. New wires and plugs, runs like a monster. Thanks, y'all, for contributing. That carb is fine.

Default First things first

Good fuel? go get some nice top grade shell or sunoco gas. Check plug gap (new plugs proper gap wow what a difference). New Air filter or blow it clean. Check exhaust pipes for good seal to motor(I had once loose after putting on new pipes which messed with back pressure) Remember if you have the same length pipes in theory you can set the plugs the same and have same back pressure on both jugs, unfortunatly sometime you may need to change the gap on front or back jug plug to get the sweet spot for tuning definitely will need to do this if you have uneven pipes. Check for vac leaks before tearing apart! if it idles take a can of brake or crab cleaner or propane torch (OFF) just need the gas, on the opposite side of the carb side wave it near the carb and manifolds. if near the carb you need the manifold rubber boot for the carn seal, if you can see and hear it change when next to a jug and manifold connection you may need new gaskets or just a reseal of the manifold to the jug. The easy things. try running good gas or some engine cleaner first to clean a small issue out. Plus you get to feel if it made a difference to narrow down the issue. The go into the carb. Mine was not a carb issue till I made it one. My carb was all clean even the jets, afterwards it did not work at all. Again I think I put it together wrong only to find a small hole in the carb boot seal. Now when I get a new seal i will need to reset my fine tuning I did...(that was not the issue to start...)
