i got the clutch hub mainshaft off, and the compensating sprocket nut. the book says they should come off along with the chain and adjuster shoe all together in a single assembly. seem to be fighting the clutch hub, havent got it to pull off yet. am i missin somthing? (bigger hammer)
The biggest problem I had was I didn't have anybody to ask what to do so I took a hammer and a crowbar and kind of levered around the edges and taped around the edges until the clutch hub came loose.
I now know there are better ways of getting the clutch hub loose.
The acceptable way is to get a 3 jaw puller and use that to get the clutch hub off.
There is a redneck way to get it off that doesn't hurt anything but it does offend the sensibilities of the purists on this forum.
Ever since I took off the clutch hub the first time it has slid right off when I took off the clutch hub nut.
I suspect that the person who worked on the bike before me over tightened the clutch hub nut causing the the clutch hub to stick on the mainshaft.

nice race puller
would be nice to have a puller like yours when we get ready to put in my buddys shifter pawl assembly this winter.
what i am thinking when it comes to the 1 and 7/8 socket.
there was a guy on here that made his own.
trying to do what he did. looked like he cut a socket some what in half.
then welded a piece of round stock with hole through the middle to the two socket pieces.
thinking about doing a video when we do this replacement.
good luck with your project.
