What I particularly like is that the MoCo seems to have done away with the need to water-cool the exhaust port, so there has been some radical thinking to keep the good ole air-cooled V-twin bang up to date. I wonder what the likes of S&S are going to make of the opportunity to boost cubic inches, having given us 124" and 143" alternative twincams?

The water cooling is still present on a few models.
Besides more valves and more spark plugs, the combustion chamber is shaped in such a way that there is minimal heat transfer to it. The more I look into the details of this engine, the more I am impressed with it. They also greatly improved the suspension and have a tool less preload adjusting **** for the shocks. The catalytic converters were relocated and the exhaust was routed differently to keep heat away from the rider's leg.
Now about that air cleaner.........
