Rox Speed Adjustable Risers
As I continue to plan the winter upgrades, I started thinking about how if my handlebars are slightly out of position, how much it hurts my back muscles. When they are adjusted properly, it's fine. The problem is I am having trouble keeping the handlebars in the position I tighten them down in. Another thing I have been thinking about is I would like them to be just slightly taller, like maybe 1" taller at the most.
All that got me thinking what would be great, is if I had more adjustability, so I could really fine tune things.
That lead me to discovering these adjustable risers. They make a few different heights. JPCycles and other places carry them.

Anybody ever try them?

A shade tree mechanic tip for keeping the handlebars in place is to place an external star lock washer in the riser and tighten up the handlebars on them.

As for those adjustable risers there is no way I'd put them on my bike as they just add points of failure IMO.

That is what I was thinking too. I also heard about the star washers.
I just want to be sure that when I do start taking things apart in a few months, I will address every possible thing.
All my lights are great LED's. My battery and cables are fantastic. My engine is perfection, at least for me it is. Exhaust is ok. Intake is great. Transmission is fine. I can't justify a sixth gear unless my transmission explodes.
The only things that I don't like are the brakes and forks. Going to look at that neck bearing again because the occasional clunking has returned.
Riding that 2017 Street Glide is what prompted me to do something about the forks.
Fresh paint is not going to be for another couple years.
Debating on going back with Metzler 880's or trying Avon Cobra tires. Front is not too bad, but I get nervous looking at the rear right now so I try not to look at it lol. It really isn't that bad, but it is worse than I usually let it get.
I guess it is a testament to how much I love this bike that there are so few things to mess with this winter.

Now, if you simply want to keep the bars from swiveling in the risers you already have then try this. Get your bars in position then drill and tap a 1/4-20 hole through the top of each riser and the top of the bar. Then install a sexy bolt or make a bolt out of a piece of threaded rod and a chrome acorn nut. It's clean and solid. Unless of course your wires run through the bars! In that case just drill and tap the risers. I've done this numerous times over the last 30 or so years.

These may not suit ya, but I run em on my Lowrider:
http://www.jpcycles.com/product/501-845
They raise your bars up, 1 in, & back 2 in , but not adjustable.
I changed my bars to buckhorns for an FXSTS.
They make the ride, for me, more comfortable on long trips.
Helps with my bad back.
Just an option.

Hey Prot I do have some 2 up and 2 back risers that I had mounted on my Heritage before I went to the 16"s.
They will fit without changing anything else.
In other words no need to change cables or extend wires.
You want them?
