Was it difficult to slide the rear primary into the muffler body?
The rear primary is welded to the muffler body on a softail setup.

I have a new idea this morning.
I'm gonna try assembling it without the silicone and see what happens.

Not sure why you are having an issue mounting your pipes. I do know that the only place that you should be applying the high temp sealer is for the cnc machined gaskets where they fit into the pipe... No mesh gaskets are used at the exhaust port. Lose fit the entire pipe first, then tighten the head pipe to the heads lightly shaking the pipe to ensure proper gasket mating. There should be no use of rtv at the slip joint of the front head pipe into the collector. It is machined accurately as to not allow an exhaust leak.... Works very well...

There is according to steps k and m in the installation guide.

That said I think putting it there is the source of my problems.
I'm gonna take it apart and try again without the silicone.

Timely thread THC *snicker*

Looking at this pipe for my build. Be sure to update your thread with pics and a video and if you notice any "seat of the pants" improvements

I got everything to bolt up and no leaks then I noticed the front pipe hitting the rear floor board mount.

No matter what I do I can't keep it off that floor board mount.

I'm considering grinding about 1/8" out of the floorboard mount to get clearance.

Anybody got any other ideas??

The hell of it is that the pipes fit perfectly everywhere else and even leave me room to get at my tranny drain plug easily.
I love the design!!!!!!!

If it wasn't for hitting the floorboard mount they would be the perfect pipes!!!!
