Glad ya found out the issue. I was just going to ask you what the floorboard bracket looked like. The MoCo changed the design on the 'glides from a bent tube to a welded up bracket. Don't know if they used the same ones on the softails, but I have the old ones (got replaced after the accident) and they only have a bit of road rash on the very bottom.

I will post them as soon as I get the floorboard replaced, tools put up and the bike back on the ground.

It's funny how these things go, isn't it? They are either completely vexing, or trivially simple. Rarely is there an in-between. And the difference between the two is typically nothing more than an isolated bit of wisdom, frequently earned the hard way.
Glad all is well now! Of course, with your track record, it won't be long until you are pulling those new pipes off and trying something else!!!
