Default New Pipes

Got my new LSR 1 pipes in today (haven't put them on yet) and I remembered 98 told me that I needed some high temp silicone on it so I went looking for the instruction sheet to find out where to put it and this is what I found!!!

1. Short Form Instructions: Take off old system. Put on new system. If you cannot complete this without going to step #2 you failed the IQ Test.
2. Long Form Instructions (A-Z); Get a Beer:

bla bla bla
There are no more steps.
Drink more beer as if we had to remind you. Pick up all your debris. Go ride when you sober up or take your chances. Should you have problems, find someone who has not been drinking.
I about fell off my couch after reading #1 the first time!!!!

If anybody's curious here is the entire PDF

Same as yours but with black heat shields.
Gonna have to wait on the picts as the bracket they provided was 1/2" too short and had to make one.
I got it made but I don't have any flat black to paint it.

Congrats on the pipe! Can't wait to see the pics! You're gonna love it.
Kinda surprised the bracket didn't fit, is there something different about your bike?

Not as far as I know.

The first time I bolted them up I had a bad exhaust leak from the rear jug and I could barley get he tranny bolt to go into the bracket.
I had some flat gaskets so I put those in as an experiment and bolted up the pipes without attaching the tranny bracket and it worked fine except for the bracket no longer fitting.

That bracket bolts to the frame just below and behind the tranny. I don't have quick access to my softail ( to take a pic) but i believe the rear bolt must be shorter because it'll bind up the swing arm. Two bolts to the frame and one to the pipe...

You're not supposed to use any additional gaskets, just the ones they give you. It may work, but if properly installed, it should not leak.
Was it difficult to slide the rear primary into the muffler body?
