Default Exhaust swap question. Dayna to softail??

Hi! Sorry if this question has been asked a zillion times... So, I picked up an 88 heritage softail that needs some love. It has 2in dual straight pipes that are cracked and seen better days. A buddy has stock head pipes with screaming eagle mufflers I can have that are like brand new off of a 97 evo Wide glide . Will it fit with out a lot of mods? Thanks!

I have a 2008 system on my 1990 Glide! The WG system should certainly fit, but you may have to work out some mounting brackets for the mufflers. Your bike has a solid mount engine, whereas the Dyna is rubber mount, however that makes life easier for you.

I think dyna mount to the xmission cover an softails mount to the frame..so making a bracket is easy...the question is will the foot boards. only one way to know.

As far as i know Dyna's and softails are different based on running boards and forward controls. I do know that when i got my Rb pipe they listed softail pipes from 86-2011 all the same and a different pipe for the Dyna. Hope that helps...

I do know that Dyna head pipes have a second bend in the front header that the Softail pipes lack.
