Let's just stand back a bit! 1993 model year bikes were made and shipped from around August 1992, until around July 1993. So that bike could still be a 1993 model. You need the VIN to check that, as you did when you first posted! That will tell you model year and precise model. There are plenty of on-line Harley VIN decoding websites. If you buy it you can register it on the H-D website, Owners tab, where you will also find it's original spec and colour.

The VIN number will tell the year once you decode it. My FLSTN was made on September 1, 1993, but it's a '94 model according to the VIN and it's registered as a '94.

That's good news - makes it a Heritage Classic? We look forward to seeing photos asap!

Get in touch with the Harley History Section at the MoCo and have your VIN ready. They'll send you an email with everything there is to know about that bike. I called them about one of my Shovelheads, the '77. They even told me the the dealer it was originally shipped to.
