thanks guys, main problem probably the autozone battery, was broke when the hd battery died so got what i could get. Probably gonna buy a no name 1.4kw starter and a agm battery, put the jumpimg to ride nonsense behind me. Mainly was concerned if the no name starters were ok
It's way easier to change a battery than a starter.
Not to mention adding the cost of a possibly unnecessary starter and fluids and gaskets.
I'd install the battery and grab a volt meter and see what it tells me before I bought a starter.

put in a 1.4kw allballz when I did the 124
blew the starter drive within 6mon, allballz replaced under warranty (go them!)
not wanting to miss the already short riding season, i threw the stock 1.2 starter in
been 2.5 years now....the stock 1.2 spins over my 11:1CR 124" with little to no struggle as long as the battery aint dead. hot-starts are another story (dead stall if i catch it wrong). I'll keep an eye on this thread - got a "batteries+" battery 3 years ago....havent killed it yet....but it dies FAST if i aint riding every day...and im not great about keeping it on a tender. Been lookin hard at the lithium versions

my main bitch has been cold weather starts, the tp121 is a lil bitchy to fire under 50 degrees outside, usually have to adjust the idle mixture, and the battery just wont hold up even using comp releases, it maybe just a battery thing, what is the best high cca battery i could get? btw i keep my battery on a tender all the time, thinking the cheapo battery just doesnt have the bal*s for the cold start, it starts fine the rest of the day, just not on cold mornings
