Update: I'm gonna pass on this bike. Owner could not get it started. I pulled the plugs and they had quite a bit of oil on them, as well as weeping cyl base gaskets, plus a few other issues. He wasn't an enthusiast, so he didn't know anything about the bike or the history. My search will continue, and thanks for all of the input here.

Good move. Sometimes some sellers will play possum (dumb) just to unload their problems.....

OK, just found this mint 98 Wide Glide, 6500 miles on the clock. Going to try and get there tomorrow. Its 2 hours away but it looks worth it. He's asking $5500.

That is a very good deal. I wouldn't let that one slip away. Bring cash and use your head. That year was one of the best for Evo's. Cases, Electrical etc.
