Tuners for Marelli bikes cause more issues than they fix. I would get the Delphi replacement ecm, you can map it with your laptop and no extra connectors for water to invade.

this may be a bit beyond my technical ability but I haven't heard of that option in my searches.

Sold at H-D dealers, it's a replacement ecm, direct plug in for 95-02 marelli bikes. It's software is loaded with several basic maps, you can customize them, or write your own cal. It's around $500.

Tuners such as the Power Commander do a great job. There is a variety of maps and a dyno run can produce a good tune. Your '98 ECM will do fine with a PC.

I have a PCIII, throttle body and other stuff from a carb conversion on my '98 FLTRI. Contact me if interested.
