Why are the 2-1s, soposta to be better. I don't hotrod, bein retired I like the gas milage I am getting; 230 miles on 4 gals.(could use a 5 gal tank?) Texashillcountry might want a shot at those pipes, for the right pricecheap) I would get them but I might cut em up I like to customize. I don't know how to PM YET, ohya the ol lady

 

When the exhaust is exiting one pipe they pull a vacuum on the other pipe helping to clear it of residual exhaust gases.

I'm quite happy with my Vance and Hines short shots thanks.

 

I just went to ebay and saw a set of pipes w/mufflers off a fatboy #1107or? priced at under $30. don't know why they wont work , I could cut the muffens off add some tips and still take the ol lady out for less than a trip to the hog shop, Well I still have 10 days maybe I should keep thinkin?

 

When I was searching pipes they all said they would fit '86 to current so those should fit just fine.

At under $30 I'd give them a try just for the hell of it!!!
If I was looking for pipes that is!

 

They'll work if you don't care about running saddlebags.

 

the pipes I ended up with came with two rear pipes and the shop is sending me a diff. front pipe guess I'll see when I see By the way I was at my fav. Hog shop and found the ol'lady a phone case, even cut me a good price.

 

Wait. Did you say you get 50 mpg with those pipes and that windshield on that bike in the pictures???
