Default Wix filter # for Evo

I've been searching the forumsfor a while now with no luck so I figured I would justask the experts...I'm tired of paying the local shop for a nice bling custom chrome chrome filter so I'm goingto try out the NAPA/WIX brand, but have been getting conflictingstories on which one to use. I picked up a 1215 but it looks a bit short, is there another # that is better? Someone said a 1225??? PLEASE help. Thanks OH BTW I've got a 92 Fatboy

Wix 51215. Will cross reference to late model Ford/Mazda engines. But this a short filter.

Our parts store rep just stopped by the other day and said that they are removing all wix products as also their wharehouse because since they have been bought out there quality has gone down hill bad. Oil filters leaking. And we at the shop have seen it first hand. They are going to go with Hastings filters.

I didn't know that about Wix products. I've been using the black Wix oil filter on my Harleys for several years now without any trouble. Times are changing I suppose......

I use the fram 3600 on my dyna and sportster, its the long filter. THe 3614, I use on my twin cam, its the short one. I like the orange and black harley colors on the fram filters.
