Default Good diagnostics shop in the Northwest?

Hi, I'm new here, hope someone can point me to a good shop.
I have a '96 Classic with an intermittent problem which I think is a bad throttle position sensor. I've had it in the local shop three times and they could not duplicate the problem. The idle goes to approx. 2800 rpm and sometimes just dies. Last time I picked it up it died before I made it home.
It's been very frustrating to say the least. Any suggestions?

The main problem is you have Harley's first generation EFI. You have to have a special tool to diagnose them.

Before you take it back to a shop.....perform the cold/hot idle settings. Also, make sure the throttle body bores are clean plus the two jets above.

If the check engine light is on....check for codes.

If you didn't live so far away...I'd be happy to help as I have the breakout box plus the Scanalyzer.

Thanks for the advice Evorider. I have to drain the tank and install a new battery to get it running again. I'll do a search on the cold/hot idle test as I'm not familiar with it. The bike has been parked in the garage since '06 out of frustration with the dealer's inability to fix the problem.
They actually made it worse than it was, plus the city wanted to slap on a huge tab tax to build a monorail ($400 each for my two bikes plus my car and truck) so I parked everything for a while. Monorail never got built btw because many people did the same thing.
I found a different dealer who will pick it up, I'll call them and see if they think they can do anything with it. It's a really nice bike and we have some history together, (rode it to the 100th) hope to get this problem sorted and get it back on the road soon.
