So I've had the exhaust removed for a bit and noticed oil leaking behind the bracket used to secure the exhaust bracket (see red line in picture). Transmission fluid has been drained for awhile. I've checked this over the last 2 weeks - see drips just below transmission cover on the side and bottom of the oil pan and drips on newspaper on the garage floor.

Is it possibly the oil pan gasket? Bike has been up on a jack for at least 3 weeks.

 

Fluid has capillary effect (will wick up hill), so on that note, would clean everything off with brake cleaner, make sure bolts and drain plug are tight, the check again in day or two, to see just where it leaking from, and not other areas its migrating to over the weeks on it own isntead.

 

Mine showed a leak like that. Turned out to be the lid top gasket and fill tube o-rings
