Fairing Info. for 88' FLHS-Electra Glide Sport
I have a beautiful 88' FLHS Electra Glide Sport with a removeable stock windshield.
As winter approaches here in Virginia, I thought I'd look to a new project and seek out a fixed batwing fairing/windshield. Can't seem to find one anywhere-any suggesstions would be appreciated.

hit some swap meets
you can find some old batwing fairings from shovel days.
I also believe HD still sells them new - $$$$$
I had an 87 FLHS and put one on.
OR you can buy the brackets from HD and find a late model faiting and modify it
I do know the Hoppe and newer ones made for RK's won't fit because of the dash
good luck

They used to send out a catalog that had lots of body parts for older bikes. Haven't seen one in awhile, give them a call.

Harley made a batwing kit to fit the FLHS, although I never saw one fitted. Mine is a mid-80s glass-fibre batwing, which I made up brackets for, modelled on the screen brackets you have. If you can find an early batwing you may be able to adapt either its or your brackets.
I retained the original headlamp of my 1990 FLHS, the batwing just snugs down onto the rear of the chrome headlamp ring. I repainted my nacelle and fork shrouds Candy Blue:

Before that I bought a secondhand Evo fairing, with integral instruments, but gave up trying to fit it! It required replacing the nacelle and some of the harnesses and was more than I could manage. I prefer the simplicity of my set-up.
