What's the cheapest I could get an 84-85?

I would think 5 grand and it will need some TLC........ Problem is finding one

you should be able to find one for under $6,000.00. you might try ebay, just make sure you check the sellers feedback. i have seen a lot of really good deals come out of ebay. i went through the same thing when i was looking for a harley, where i live there was maybe 2 or 3 bikes for sale, one i didnt like, and was out of the price i wanted to spend, the other to old and pricey, and the third a real peice of junk. i ended up going to ,the internet and finding a local news paper in a town about 90 miles from me. there was one bike that sounded good so i drove there, after talking to the seller, and it was just what i wanted, 1990 fxstc for $8500.00, that was 4 years ago. had to do some work to it, speedo, brakes, tires, fork seals and more, but its always started and runs great.

I think they are willing to go to $5300
