Yup white plastic washer for the drain plug on primary. The copper one I was thinking about is on the drain plug for the tranny. That one has a turned up ridge on it.

Default Chrome starter end cover

I have a 1985 fxwg.

Attached is a picture of my bike with a chrome starter end cover.

Does anyone know if this chrome cover is stock?

Underneath is a white rubber boot.

I'm thinking the chrome starter cover is not stock but I'm not sure.

I'm also not sure if the chrome primary cover is stock.

I know the primary cover is a harley part because I took it off and there is a harley number stamped on the inside, but I'm not sure if it is correct for a 1985 fxwg.

I think the primary cover should be polished aluminum.

The clutch inspection cover is polished aluminum. I know that is stock.

I don't know if the solenoid cover is stock but I would remove it to prevent it from rubbing the wires and shorting them out. I don't like nic nacs bolted all over my bike anyway.

i have an 85 bagger. i'm not going to join in the conversation on whats stock or not but i just wanted to say that these 85's are quite rare. less than 35,000 bikes were built by HD that year. sportsters, softtails, wide glide, superglide and baggers total, less than 35,000.

The chrome cover and the white rubber are both dress up articles. The stock set up is black rubber.

Have a new OEM seat #52498-85 from a 1985 Wide Glide. Removed from bike 1 week and less than 50 miles from when bought new. Has been wrapped and stored since 1985. It is in perfect new condition.
