My EVO has been quiet far too long. I have recently begun correcting that. I love EVOs and hope that I have an opportunity to build another scoot after I get Babydoll back from the dead. If I do, it will have an EVO mill.
I love all Big Twin Harley motors before the Twinkies, but Hammerheads are the tops.
ETA: I have completely disassembled my 1984 EVO for a rebuild. When I parked her in 2004 she had a shade over 100,000 miles on her. As I have taken the motor apart, the only significant wear that I have found is on the rocker arm shafts and they are still within service limits. The cylinder walls still had remnants of the original hone cross hatch. These Hammerhead motors are the best that Harley ever made. (Yeah, I know, nobody else calls them Hammerheads. But, damn it, they should!)

Still looks kind of fancy! Last year someone open a new distillery, right on the street I live on..... They make rye whiskey and the name of the distillery is called "stay tuned"! good stuff.. I still prefer old #7. I'll put some coffee on!
