I got my bloodwork results back yesterday. It was a complete metabolic panel plus a few other things. Everything was normal including pancreas enzymes. My triglycerides were 99 which is great. This time last year they were over 4,000 which is what caused the pancreatitis. Six months ago they were 167. Upper limit of normal is 150 so 99 is great. The only thing is my liver enzymes are slightly elevated.
I occasionally have flare ups with the pancreas and when I do, I go back to just liquids for a few days. The flare ups have been increasing in frequency to the point where virtually anything was making me sick, even a salad. Last month I ended up just reducing my diet to two or three Boost Glucose Control shakes per day, four boiled eggs (just the whites) and two cups of watermelon along with a vitamin supplement. That has helped but I can't really survive on that forever.
On Friday I am getting an abdominal MRI. I am also getting back on Creon which is pancreas enzyme made from pig pancreas. On Wednesday I have an appointment with the GI specialist.

More blood work scheduled and more often. The additional blood work now is to check for autoimmune disease. Colonoscopy scheduled for Monday. Doctor is also concerned about my liver enzymes. He is going to try to get my old records from1997 and 1998 from the operations I had then on ruptured appendix.

This is kind of cool. The local news did a story at my gym.

Recent bloodwork showed no markers for autoimmune disease which is good. MRI was fine. Stool study had some fat and evidence that I was having a problem with the pancreas.
Today's colonoscopy had a six sessile polyps, the larger two were removed. Several biopsies were taken and should have results within a week. Early indications are they are probably benign but need lab results.
Evidence of previous side to end ileo-colonic anastomosis was seen along with a few more thing like numerous mucosa bumps that were thought to be lymphoid tissue which were also sampled.
In a week I'll have results and recommendations.
Since the insurance is paying for everything they used Syn3 lube charged at full dealership rates.

I'll take some of that!
I'm in Galveston with the fam damily this week. No bike, but that's just as well since there's nowhere here to ride and it's doing nothing but raining. Alas.
Came across a pod of dolphins yesterday swimming in the gulf. At one point, they were within ten yards of me. THAT was pretty cool stuff.
Prot, I hope all this stuff gets sorted and you get done lasting relief soon. Seems like it just keeps going from one thing to the next, but these latest results do sound encouraging, at least to my untrained ears.
