i just put a ev27 in my 98 ultra a few weeks ago, took me a couple weeks but i didnt work on it every day, plus im 40 miles from the hd shop and made 4 trips over due to them giving me the wrong parts and had to order some, also told them to get shims but they didnt and had to make another trip, the kid was new so i didnt say much, wouldnt do any good anyways,i used my stock push rods, put in new hd lifters, torrington bearing,i like the mid range but cant tell any diff in the top end,i got the cam on ebay for 125 free s&h,lifters were 200,and about 75 in gaskets, bearing, shims etc,i had my stock cam gear put on which was 20,hd shop wanted 60 and had to make appointment which at the time was 3 weeks out

I think the collet I used was 3/4"-1"
As far as your bid goes, I think the minimum he will accept is already inputted earlier so you do not know if that was the min he would take or not but it could have been. He wasn't actually there responding to your offer.
You can try to start low and offer more later but ebay discourages that by locking you out from making offers anymore on that item once you've made 3 offers. Then it will only let you do a buy-it-now on that specific item.

hey roadhog...thanks for that link...the reason I chose the EV13 is because I felt it would match my riding style best...mostly 2-up and never racing it...mostly lower rpm riding...a lot in that thread seems to confirm that it should fit they way I ride...my next step is to finally buy and get a CV carb installed sometime in the next couple months.

Get the cam in yet?
couple of things to watch out for
when removing the orginal cam bearing, try not to grab on any of the inner case where to bearing rests on.
use a tappit block align tool for the lifter block reinstall.
have the orginal cam gear installed onto the new cam.
Ride down to California and I'll help you install the cam

I have had problems with the tappet rollers on 2 different bikes. An 87 and the 93. I replaced them with the Crane rollers and had no more issues. If I do a cam replacement on any more Evos and stock tappets are in it, I will do the rollers then. Just one more thing to not have to worry about.
