Default Jockey shift?

Has anybody done a jockey shift conversion on their Softail? I fabed my own shifter and brackets for a foot clutch. I have been riding it for about 6 weeks and I really wish I'd have done it sooner. I used some 5/8 round stock for my shifter and made a bracket to connect the clutch cable to the foot shift lever. I have since changed the point where the cable connects to the "release" arm and I think I have it where I want it. I plan to fab a new shifter out of some 5/8 stainless rod and turn the end down to 3/8 and then tap it for a glass door **** that I've had for a while. Today, I removed the left side handlebar controls to clean up the left bar. I got a latching relay for my hi/lo headlight control and I used the right turn signal button to activate the relay. It is working good and I hope the relay will prove to be reliable. I mounted it just below the key switch so the wiring was pretty simple. I will get some pictures up soon if anyone wants to see what I've done. So far, I have about $35.00 in material and several hours figuring it all out. It's been fun and I have a few more ideas that I'm considering, but that will have to wait, cause right now, all I want to do is ride it. That's all.... Scudder

I wouldn't want to do it for myself but always like to see pics of what others have done. Makes it interesting!
