Has any one ever modified a 97-07 seat to fit their 94-96 Road King? I am wanting to put a comfort stitch 97-07 seat on my 95 RK. Any help would be great thanks.

Hello, no need to cut the frame, Its a pretty straight foward fitment. The tongue on the 97 and later seat has two bends in it, cut the first bend off, this will allow the seat to slide up under the tang of the 96 tank. use some 3/4 heater hose and slide over the tounge to tighten the fitment under the tang. then you can run a stock rear bracket, I would shop for a road king seat as these fit a lil better than the ultra seats. i did it on my old 96 and it looked great.

I've modified later seats to fit my 93. You have to slightly straighten the bend of the tongue on the later seat and cut off about a inch.
Once you get the tongue done , you then have to drill the hole in the rear fender for the rear.

 

Already have the hole in the rear fender that's stock I'm thinking the back bracket will just line up. All the seats in looking at are the same length as the Mustang seat I have on it now. So hopefully with just the adjustment of the front tab I should be good to go. Picking up a seat for a 97-07 this Saturday for $125 I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks 😁

 

With the hole in your fender already there. You want to reverse the process. Take smaller cuts off the tongue till the seat lines up on the fender mount hole.
