Put the filter in the return line from the oil pump to the tank.

Your picture shows a Softail, so I'm assuming you have the Softail battery cooker oil tank. Staring at the side of the oil tank from the starboard side of the tank, the left most line is the main oil feed (actually separated from the other two) and then the middle is the vent and the right most is the return from filter.

Here's from the HD Service Manual of a FL/FX although all the Evos are pratically the same with the exception of what the oil tank looks like. Let me know if you need more clarification.

How about a CHART / DIAGRAM for an EVO era DYNA with the Oil Pan under the Transmission ?

When I got the bike the transmission was OUT of the Bike

I'd LIKE to be sure where to PLUMB the oil lines when I reassemble the BIKE
&
NO ... the REPAIR MANUAL for a 1995 DYNA seems to skip the OIL LINE "routing"

Any help or URL / LINK would be appreciated

Default Anybody have an OEM Service MANUAL with the DYNA (EVO) diagram ?

The DYNA is totally different than any OTHER H-D Engine / Transmission configuration

I Need a Routing DIAGRAM for a 1995 DYNA (EVO) 5-Speed / OIL PUMP / Oil Filter / Motor / OIL Line /

I'm attempting to locate an OEM H-D SERVICE MANUAL for a 1995 DYNA

So far the only help I been given was a DIAGRAM for a Softtail (totally DIFFERENT animal)

Are the two rigid lines still there from the filter? If so there is only one way for the pump to hook up to the filter. There is a vent line inboard of the pump, this goes to the top of transmission as does the return line from the filter. The feed line is from the bottom of pan to the face of pump body.
