does the light flash when the engine turns over?? Check the ohm rating for the coil and make sure it is OK for the Ultima ignition.

 

I wired it from module white to red on coil, module blue to coil orange, and module pink to coil black. the coil reads 1.8 ohm on my meter and that is in the working range for the module. as to your question the light flashes all the time cranking or not just about two flashes a second. I could not find any help with a code from ultimas site. any help would be cool thanks

 

I ordered a now coil and starter. it should be in in a few days. I let my starter get hot and now I have to jump it to turn it over. dropped in my old twintec module and it sounds great started up no lifter noise good oil psi but slow cranking so I ordered a 1.4KW starter. I would like to ride it before I have to go back to work but I need the starter first.

 

Hi all I put the new coil, starter and ignition module in today. I will post some more pics soon. It starts no problem don't even have to push in the decompression buttons. I am putting plates on tomorrow so I can start the brake in. It will be nice to see how it goes when it is broken in and I can get in a full pull .

1989fxr I have a 1992 FXR and I recently had an Ultima 107 installed. And I'm in Canada too. Maybe we will pass each other on the road!

So far my 107 is a beast. Loving it.

 

Fist good ride with the new engine put on about 50 miles on short trips last week letting it cool down then did an oil change. Today I got it out for a good ride It pulls grate no noise but I am running rich, getting a back fire out the exhaust on decell. My buddy said it shook his guts every time and he was about 30+ Ft behind me. I was looking at the Mikuni tuning manual and will try a new needle I will order all three on Monday than I can try and get it as close as I can. I will take it for a dyno tune after it is broken in. Until then I am taking it easy on it, not going one speed, not lugging it, keeping it under 3500RPM . Can't wait to see how this thing will pull when I can let it go.
