How do I remove the body of my radio 1986 Elec. glide classic
Hey,
I want to send my radio off for repair, I pulled the screws out of the facia of the batwing and the front face came off the radio. It looks like it has a board that connects it with the body of the radio. All the tape deck and body is deep in there and I was wondering how to get to it, do I have to remove a section of the fairing? I thought if I unscrewed those scres and undid some clips (like a car stereo) it would come out but I was wrong.
Help?
Jesse

Radio removal
Hi there,
I have an 86 Electra Glide Classic that I have pulled the radio out of a couple of times. Remove the headlight and then the bat wing fairing, then a brace above the radio then the radio. Tip there are 4 x 7/16" nyloc nuts inside the bat wing to loosen before you can remove the fairing - a ratcheting ring/open end spanner here saves a lot of grief. Sorry if the tool description is different to what you are used to but I hope you get the idea. The first time I took off the fairing I used an open end spanner - one nut flat at a time - not fun
Cheers
