Tire cost
I had a dealer quote me $198 for a D402 back tire for my Tour Glide and $75 labor if it's still on the bike. That seems a little higher than I was expecting, but I know the labor charge is about average for the area. Has anyone else recently purchased a new rear tire and if so, how much did it run you?

Hard to beat prices here, free shipping over $99.

Remove and install the wheels yourself, bring wheels and tires to a indy shop, about $25 to mount and balance per tire.

If you go with Dunlop, you may want to check into the E-3's

Ride and handle better than 402's, wear good too.

I can get the Avon cheaper than the Dunlops in Spain too, from a store that brings them straight from the factory, but I've heard that Venom's last much shorter, that's why I didn't decided for them last time... Any experience with that?
Thanks!

Jake Wilson all the way.I've always gotten the tires I want with free delivery and never waited more than 3 days. Most times they were 1/2 the price of tire dealers here.
Last set were Dunlops for my Heritage at less than $230 for the pair.
$30/tire installed at my local Indy if I bring the wheels to him.
Just ordered a new front tire for my sons KZ750 for $52.

Got my rear tire replaced a couple of weeks ago.
Just under 200 bucks and when I had the front changed, it was about 30 bucks less.
This guy is a friend of mine and he won't put a non-touring tire on a touring bike. In other words, he won't install it unless it's at least the same weight rating the factory recommends. He says the liability is just to great in this sue happy society.
