I chipped the chrome on my wheel this last time I mounted the rear tire. Hard to notice really, behind the pulley or brake rotor. Still, if anyone has one if better condition I'm interested.
Or, as my neighbor suggests, I could just re-chrome this one.
Finally, I've been looking into new 80 spoke wheels, anodized red to match the custom paint.

Any opinions?

 

There are companies that will chrome an alloy wheel, but my modest knowledge of chrome plating is that it can be expensive. In other words to refinish your wheel will involve unplating it, cleaning and polishing, then replating.

If red wheels are tempting you, now is the time to buy! There are HDF sponsors who can probably help.

"Hard to notice really, behind the pulley or brake rotor" Well what is the problem? (Nice looking bike) If you can't see it, who cares? If it gets worse, then scrach it up and paint it flat (or gloss) black.
