Two Timing advance marks?
Hey guys, going to time my bike with a light for once, and doing research I read to adjust it to the 35 degree mark (single dot). My question is whats the purpose of the 20 degree advance mark? (Two Dots).

The 20 degree one is the California one and nobody should use it as it makes the bike run slow.

But the best IMHO is a static method, using the TDC line and LED on an aftermarket module - if you don't have one, borrow it from a friend, just to plug in for this static adjustment.

Nah, strobe everytime, that way you know its advancing...
BTW, one of those timing marks should be two dots, the one you don't want to use is usually two dots.

So if I have a California bike I should have it retimed?
I don't have a strobe.
