Primary is off, may have found the problem, opinions?

Primary is off, may have found the problem, opinions?
A while back I posted about a noise in my primary, noise with motor speed at idle, would go away when clutch engauged and shifted into first. Believed it was the clutch bearing.
I have removed the inner primary to find a bearing that is pressed into the inner primary case on the backside with a seal. That bearing is very gritty when turned. I am wondering if this bearing would make the noise, again it has to be pressed in and out of the inner pirmary cover.
Harley also said that my ISS seal has a slow oil leak and my small belt drive pully (transmission) is getting sharp. I have an old harley tech friend who looked at it said its nowhere near sharp, and there are no leaks I can see.
Could the dealer really try to sell me somthing I dont need that is that expensive. I mean a flush or somthing that costs 100 or so to upsell I can see but to BS someone on a job that big, really?
Anyway what type of noise would that bearing make?
Thank you

First what is an ISS seal?
Second even a little wear on a bearing can cause noise.
Third there is a reason some here call the dealership the stealership.
If they can get money out of you they will. Some indys do it too.
To be honest not all dealerships do this but it sure seems that way.
Just change the bearing and see what happens.

What is an Inner Shift Shaft?
The only shift seal I know of in in the tranny.
And I agree with replacing all seals and gaskets when you have the inner primary off.

The IPB on the trans input shaft stops turning when the clutch is in and in gear.
The bearing you speak of(inner primary bearing) and the inner race that's pressed on the trans input shaft will need replacing.
There is also a ball bearing inside the clutch basket that turns when the clutch is pulled, it's lives very close to the IPB and can get trash in it from the IPB tearing up.
You'll have to remove the clutch plate stack to rotate the hub inside the basket to inspect that bearing for roughness.
