Default High performance spark plug wires?

I want to buy new wires for my 98 flstc. I read about some in "101 Harley-Davidson performance projects"
I don't have the money for nology cables so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I am looking at the Hot Fire wires from J&P. but I can't find many reviews.

Have you modded the bike any (cam, compression, etc.)?

Welcome to the forum, BTW.

None of the "Hi Performance" plug wires will make any difference whatsoever to your performance, if you want fancy looking wires then go ahead but don't expect any performance gains over stock parts.

I was thinking the same thing......How could a spark plug wire add to the performance?

Now, an upgraded ignition system.........that would add to the performance. correct?

Yes it would.

Then again so would 9.5 - 1 pistons.

to each his own... Nology Hot Wires are overpriced and over rated. I just replaced mine with a set of 10.5mm wires from Taylor performance. call me crazy, but I do notice a difference. Bike just seemed to respond well with them. Starting is a lot smoother too... But this is coming from a guy who can tell the difference between 91 and 93 octane.
