Default Rear tire fitment.

I just received my Michelin Commander 11 and it looks to be a 1/2 inch wider than the Dunlop MU85 B16 that is on the bike now.
The Michlin is 140-90-16...... Im told they are the same size but will the mich fit on my 97 WG?
The Dunlop is all but touching the belt now.

Not mounted or inflated, it would be hard to tell. I expect it will be fine. I have a Michelin II on the rear, but I run 130 or MT, same thing regardless of the way they say it.

You are probably right Blu. I was hoping somebody has one on their ride. If the mich is a nats a__ wider it will hit my belt.

One of the advantages of using the 140 Metz is that it is just a bit narrower than other brands 140s. Good luck.

What are you putting that on? I've wondered if a 140 would fit on my FLT.

wondering if the back tire could be shimmed a hair to set it away from the belt. Right now the tire sits closer to the belt side.

In my cases an MU is a 140, but the MU it is actually 1/4" narrower than a tire that says 140. I've been riding a FXSTC for 17 years and have 88K on that bike. I learned never order a 140, but was always safe with a MU except once when I got a raised white letter tire. Wound up trimming the white letters back to the rubber.
