Fake Primary Leaks
Had two bikes in this week (one Evo and one TC, one has 35K miles and the other 26K) both had been suffering from primary/tranny leaks but were still leaking after having the seals replaced.
Had a good look round and found that it was the sump bolts had worked loose...when the oil is all over the place you can't see the sump leak....once its cleaned you can't see it until the bike has done a few miles but the leak drips down from the same area as a primary oil seal or tranny oil seal and the place where the leak emerges is hidden by the inner primary.
My advice?...tighten your sump bolts from time to time, keep that area clean and inspect at every oil change.
