Default White spark plugs

Im still tinkering with my new adj ignition and jetting.
I installed new NGK Iridium bpr5eix-11 so I could get a better look to see how lean I was running. After 50 miles they look too white. Im still running "pure gas 90 octane". The 74 main jet blacked the old plug and changed to 72 main & now their white.?
Tomorrow I will retard a 1/16 inch to see where my heat band goes on the strap.

How many turns out on the air fuel screw? Sounds like you might need another half to 3/4 turn to fatten it up..

They ain't white, they is grey...my WG ran that colour and I went a grade colder on the plug which made it greyer and it ran like a raped ape and was good on gas.

Thanks Spanner, I will defiantly keep that in mind. I called NGK Tech and he recommended That I do have the correct plug [ BPR5EIX-11 ] and for me to richen the carb screw for now.
If need to, I will go the next cooler plug [BPR6EIX-11 ]. Tech said IF I go cooler there would be a chance of carbon build up.

That would depend on where you ride. If on highway I'd go cooler. If in town I'd stay where you are.

Mine look the same.

So, what harm is it to have "white" plugs?

White means it's running extremely lean. It's what the EPA wants but it isn't the best for a motor.
